Rangecookers from Rangemaster

Tuesday, August 23rd, 2011

Rangemaster is another new addition to the Go-Electrical website. Part of the AGA Rangemaster group, Rangemaster is 180 years old and creates fabulous, top-end appliances to make any home special.

Other names you may have heard of that are made by the AGA Rangemaster group include La Cornue, Falcon, Rayburn, Grange, Fired Earth and of course, AGA.   Known for its longstanding heritage, technical excellence and innovation, these brands are now distributed worldwide, and are incredibly popular.

You may have noticed that we just have Range Cookers available on the website at the moment, but Rangemaster also manufacture dishwashers, refrigeration products, cooker hoods and splashbacks. Whether you like the traditional country kitchen style or, like me, the clean, sophisticated lines of a more modern kitchen, a Rangemaster range cooker will fit in perfectly and will be the focal point in the room.

Rangemaster created the world’s very first range cooker (‘The Kitchener’) in 1830, and the appliance was revolutionary. The cookers were, and still are, manufactured in Royal Leamington Spa using the innovative cast-iron technology that was originally used on ‘The Kitchener’. Obviously, in 180 years this technology has developed slightly but the result is still as impressive as it was in 1830!

Every Rangemaster is designed to make cooking a pleasure, not a chore, and each appliance is manufactured to the highest possible standard, and has a two year parts and labour guarantee. Whether you are a gas lover, an electric fanatic or desire a bit of both, there is a range cooker to suit you.

We at Go-Electrical particularly like the ‘Elan’ range. Available in dual fuel or all electric these range cookers come in a variety of colours – Gloss Black, Racing Green, Latte, Rose Taupe and Cream. They come in 110cm width or a more compact 90cm, but don’t worry if you don’t have room for the 110cm, the 90cm model does not sacrifice performance or any of the other fantastic features that the 110cm size holds.

The ‘Elan’ models have beautiful spiral handles and nice curvaceous doors. The control knobs are chunky to go with the overall look of the appliance, and there is a nice practical rail across the front of the range to hold your cloths, hand towels and oven mitts. ‘Elan’ ranges have two ovens, the left-hand being 69 litres in size and the right, 67 litres, and the appliance is recommended by the Energy Saving Trust. Other key features include; defrost, fan oven, fanned grilling, fan-assisted oven, conventional oven, browning element and base heat settings, cast-iron pan supports, a storage drawer, dual circuit electric grill and a programmable clock & minute minder.

Keep an eye on the Go-Electrical website for more Rangemaster products. If you happen to know that you want a Rangemaster, and you know the model name etc, drop us an email and we will be able to provide you with a quote – sales@go-electrical.co.uk

Feast your senses with Britannia

Thursday, June 23rd, 2011

Have you always dreamt of having a super-duper range cooker that you can cook anything and everything on? Do you need a jaw-dropping centre piece to a new kitchen, and something that will make all your friends green with envy? Have you considered a Britannia Range Cooker?

If not, why not?

Britannia was established in 1985, and was one of the first companies in the UK to introduce range cookers. Since their birth the company has seen steady growth, (probably because their range cookers are so sort-after), and the company even has its own ‘Home Economist’ who is on hand to provide help and inspiration for Britannia owners!

There is a range cooker from Britannia to suit everyone; classic or contemporary, electric or dual fuel, and they range in size from 90cm – 150cm. No matter on the spec, all Britannia appliances are built with quality and longevity in mind. Just wait until you hear one of the robust oven doors close – satisfyingly reassuring.

Britannia range cookers are available in five different ‘families’ – Sigma, Dynasty, Classic, ‘L’ Line and ‘E’ Line. See which one will be best for your kitchen…

The Sigma range offers contemporary stylings, and would take centre stage in any modern home. It comes in Cream, Black or Stainless Steel, has triple glazed doors and has been A rated for efficiency. All Sigma ranges have grills in all ovens, but the Sigma is also available in an XG model which has a separate dedicated grill compartment.

The Dynasty range has solid doors and chunky controls, giving the range a robust and professional feel. Also available in Cream, Black and Stainless Steel the Dynasty range cookers would fit in with a traditional or modern kitchen. Like the Sigma range, the Dynasty range is available in an XG model with a separate grill.

Classic means classic, and the classic range of cookers boasts an elegant trim and would fit a traditional country style kitchen. The oven comes with an electronic timer and useful storage drawer, triple glazing, and like the Sigma and Dynasty ranges both ovens are A rated for efficiency, and it is available in XG.

The ‘L’ Line cookers are incredibly popular, and are available in Stainless Steel or sleek Graphite. The ‘E’ Line is available in stainless Steel and glossy Black and has double glazed doors. Both lines are a perfect choice for a busy family kitchen, and will definitely make the any kitchen the hub of the home.

“Cooking involves all your senses, so everything designed by Britannia is intended to delight them. See the difference a Britannia range cooker will make to your kitchen. Feel the unmistakable quality of the construction with the robust oven doors. We’ve engineered in quietness, so that you’ll hear the sizzling of steaks. Smell the tempting aroma of a Mediterranean flavoured chicken cooked to succulent perfection. They say you can’t buy good taste, but we beg to differ.”
