Brew time just got a whole lot tastier

Wednesday, May 9th, 2012

Have you seen the latest Bosch appliance to appear on the Go-Electrical website? Its perfect for all the connoisseurs of hot beverages out there…

Let me introduce the Bosch Filtrino Hot Water Dispenser to you. This fantastic appliance delivers filtered water, ready heated straight to your cup at the touch of a button. Available in White (THD2021GB) and Black (THD2023GB) this innovative hot water source is both time saving and energy saving, and no one can complain about that. The Filtrino heats up to boiling in about 40 seconds, which is incredibly fast compared to a normal 2000W kettle, and because it only heats up the amount of water requested it saves up to 50% of the energy used by a normal kettle. Just think of the difference that could make to your electricity bill.

Do you enjoy drinking green tea? Or do you prefer an instant coffee? Maybe, like me, you prefer drinking your tea strong and black, well whichever you favour the Filtrino will cater for you. It can produce water at room temperature, 70°C for white teas, 80°C for green teas, 90° for instant coffee or hot chocolate, and of course boiling water for everything else. The clever machine will also serve 120ml, 150ml, 200ml, 250ml or 300ml servings at the touch of a button, and the handy stop/start button means you can manually control the Filtrino so you can create the perfect hot beverage time after time.

The BRITA filter housed inside the water dispenser reduces the traces of limescale, chlorine, lead and copper that can be found in tap water. This means that the machine will last longer, as calcium will not be able to build up within the machine, and it also means that the flavour of the drink will be as it should be. The water is so well filtered that you should be able to see, smell and taste the difference in your hot beverage.

To sum up, the Bosch Filtrino Hot Water Dispenser is a product you don’t realise you need until you have used it – then you will never want to stop using it. It is simple, efficient and makes brew time a whole lot more enjoyable…what’s not to like?

Features;

* Saves up to 80% energy by boiling only the water you need

* Integrated Brita MAXTRA water filtration for improved taste and limescale reduction

* 2L removeable water tank

* Height adjustable cup stand for a variety of glass, cup and mug sizes

Bright and colourful…

Thursday, April 5th, 2012

As the weather gets warmer we all need a fridge we can rely on to keep all our food fresh for as long as possible, and to cool our refreshments – homemade pink lemonade any one? – and here at Go-Electrical we have a thing about Retro styled fridges. Whether it be a cool Italian Smeg, or a stylish Slovenian Gorenje a kitchen is not complete without one (in our opinion). That’s why we are so happy to learn that Gorenje are expanding their range by adding two new colours to the refrigerator range.

The Gorenje Retro Style Refrigerators (RB) are already available in Burgundy, Cream, Black, Raspberry Pink, Lime Green and Juicy Orange, and Gorenje have decided to add a Volcanic Red and Mystic White to the range. The two new additions feature everything the other fridges do, including the standard 5 year warranty.

Specification:

Weight: 52.00

Width (cm): 60

Height (cm): 154

Depth (cm): 64

Energy Rating: A++

Fridge Capacity (litres): 262

Hinge: Right Hinged

The A++ energy rating means that you not only save money, but also do your bit for the environment. The fridges feature an LED display to help you accurately control the temperature your fridge is kept at, and the innovative fan system keeps everything cold and the air flowing well, which is essential for the storage of fresh food. A special vegetable crisping draw maintains the right humidity and air flow to ensure your fruit and vegetables are kept fresh for longer.

Inside you will find glass shelves which are easy to clean, and the interior panels and doors of all Gorenje refrigerators are coated with a special material containing an inorganic silver compound. This protective coating prevents harmful micro organisms from breeding and growing, even in the presence of spoilt food, and this clever protection keeps working for the entire life of the appliance! The fridge also has a small freezer compartment (or icebox) so you can have ice, and ice-cream at the ready when the weather heats up.

The new colours should be available to purchase from Go-Electrical in April/May, so keep your eyes peeled for these appearing on the website. And why not take a look at the other refrigerators available from Gorenje? You never know, one of their fridge freezers might be just what you are after…

Exclusive, Dynamic – New Polti products

Wednesday, March 28th, 2012

The popularity of steam cleaning is rapidly growing in the UK thanks to a number of different factors, and this means that new steam cleaners are constantly being launched on to the market. Here, at Go-Electrical, we prefer one steam cleaner brand over any other, and that is Polti. Regularly featured on home shopping channels, Polti Steam Cleaners are one of Go-Electrical’s biggest sellers.

Following on from the success of the Evolution and Edition models launched last year, and the newest additions, the Flash and Mop, which were launched in February, Polti are adding two more steam cleaners to their range. Unfortunately, they are also discontinuing some of the existing models, but I wouldn’t be too worried because the new models are so much better.

The Vaporetto Dynamic, and Vaporetto Forever Exclusive will fit nicely into the top of the Polti range. The most expensive of the steam cleaners before reaching the Lecoaspira Steam Vacuum models, these two new additions are perfect for people who have used a steam cleaner before and want to upgrade, or for someone who will use a steam cleaner on a very regular basis for extended periods of time.

The two models are robost in design, and have very similar specifications, but the thing that sets the Vaporetto Forever Exclusive apart from all the other Polti steam cleaners is that it features a continuous refill function (indicated by the ‘Forever’ part in its name), just like some of the Lecoaspira models. This means no more waiting for the water tank to depressurise before being able to refill, so you can just keep going with your cleaning tasks. This feature is a real time-saver, believe me!

New, new, new, Newgate

Wednesday, March 14th, 2012

We have just taken delivery of some exciting new products, and now that they have arrived I can’t wait any longer, I have to tell you about our newest addition! I was banned from typing and telling you all the goss, but now the stock has landed I’m letting the secret out…Newgate Clocks are now available at Go-Electrical!

I’ve always been a bit of a horophile (a person who likes clocks) – although I’m always late – and I especially like a clock that looks a little bit different and adds a certain je ne sais quoi to a room, so Newgate clocks arriving into the building is a little worrying for my bank account!

For those of you who aren’t familiar with Newgate clocks, I had better fill you in…A British company owned and run by Jim and Chloe Read, Newgate specialize in creating alarm clocks, mantel clocks and wall clocks of all different sizes, colours and styles. The designs are influenced by classic, vintage and retro designs of the past, making a Newgate clock perfect for any household. Even if you have never heard of ‘Newgate’ I can guarantee that when you see their clocks you will instantly recognize them – featured in magazines and newspapers, and used in tv and film sets, they crop up everywhere!

I personally like the big wall clocks that wouldn’t look out of place on a train station platform in the 1950s, but I think that is just because I’m a fan of all things from the 40s and 50s. My least favorites in the range are the ones that were used in the school gym at my high school, as they conjour up memories of exam-time. The large clear numbers, straight black hands, and the red second-hand just send shivers down my spine!

Whether you are looking for something small and timeless to sit on your fireplace, or a large statement piece to hang in your hallway, look no further than Newgate. Perfect wedding and new home gifts, why not share Newgate with your loved-ones and keep the British brand thriving.

Remodelled KitchenAid blender

Wednesday, February 1st, 2012

KitchenAid have decided to improve their blender models by adding a ‘culinary jar’ to them, and here at Go-Electrical we think that this is a brilliant idea. It means that the already fabulous Artisan blender is even better.

The Culinary Jar has a small capacity of 0.75l which is ideal for making single servings of smoothies or juices, and small recipes such as pestos and sauces. The blades of the blender are strong, sharp stainless steel which are perfect from crushing ice, and creating an even finish to smoothies, so no lumps.

The rest of the specification for the Kitchenaid blender has not changed from the previous models and is as follows;

*Die-cast metal base – robust, stable and built to last

*Large durable glass jug with unique shape, easy pouring and easy clean – 1.5L Capacity

*Powerful motor with intelli-speed control

*“Soft start” feature – starts slowly then quickly increases speed for clean blending

*Locking collar assembly keeps blades from rotating until pitcher is properly attached *Reliable and easy to handle

*Clean touch control pad integrated into a smooth rounded design – easy to clean

*Strong, durable and quiet operation

*Stay-put lid with ingredient cup – practical, steadfast, tight-fitting and functional

Snuggle up in front of a Burley

Wednesday, January 25th, 2012

I don’t know about where you are, but it is absolutely freezing here on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales. So cold, in fact, that I am sat writing this with gloves on…and a scarf! This awful January weather has got me dreaming of distant beaches and 30˚C heat, but as this is not practical at the moment (feeling the January pinch a bit) I’ve decided that we should take a look at the electric and gas fires available on Go-Electrical, then at least I may be able to take my gloves off!

Burley Appliances have been manufacturing electric fires since 1975 when founder John Barson decided to set up business in his garage, building electric fires with his 20 years of electrical manufacturing experience. It all started with three commissioned wrought iron baskets costing £5.00 and some electric components. The first fire was sold the day after its manufacture had been completed.

Mr Barson went on to sell 12 fires to the electrical buyer for Harrods, employ staff and move from his garage to a proper workshop. After six years of steady growth Burley became an approved supplier to the Northwest Electricity board, and the other 14 boards soon followed by their example.

Today, Burley not only manufacture electric stoves, insets and freestanding fires but also flueless gas fires (the first one sold in the UK was made by none other than Burley) and wood burning stoves which boast clean burning technology and amazing fuel efficiency. There is an amazing range to choose from, and there is sure to be a fire that will look great in any home whether modern or traditional.

Here at Go-Electrical we have lots of different Burley models in stock, and the ones we don’t are delivered direct from Burley on a home-delivery service. One of our most popular models is the Halstead basket fire (292) which is available in a black or brass finish. It comes with real coals and has a flicker effect which means it looks very realistic when in use. As it is a compact size, it is ideal for smaller fireplaces.

If you like your fires to be a little bit more contemporary in styling, how about an Oakham (537)? Available in black or brushed steel, this fire can be wall mounted, inset or left as a freestanding appliance. It comes with real coal, and also marbles for a modern look, and has a remote that can be used to control the virtual flame effect that the fire offers.

Still not what you are looking for? Ok, how about the Ambience Flueless gas stove (4121)? It looks just like a traditional wood-burning stove, and even comes with logs that can be arranged inside for an authentic look. It offers 3.5KW of power and because of the technology behind its workings, the heat produced is more evenly distributed than a stove linked to a chimney.

Take a look at the Burley products on the Go-Electrical website, and maybe you will also change your mind about escaping to a sun-drenched beach somewhere…or maybe not! Price start from £168.90.

Hands together to welcome…Graef

Wednesday, January 18th, 2012

Another addition to the Go-Electrical website is Graef, a high-quality, German made brand that uses “innovation, durability and dependability” as their guiding principles. Graef have been manufacturing user-friendly products for over 50 years and are famous for their range of domestic and commercial meat slicers.

Here at Go-Electrical we have the range of toasters and kettles available for purchase, and coming soon will be other small appliances, such as coffee machines, milk frothers and slicers, to bring a little bit of German reliability to your home. All have are expertly engineered, and are sleek and modern in design.

The Graef TO90UK two slice long toaster recently scored 76% in a Which? Best Buy report. Which? tested the toaster and have awarded it with a Best Buy award because it “ fits a wide range of bread sizes, it’s easy to use, browns most of the slice and browns to a good level”. The Pros of the toaster were listed as; “Very stylish, simple to use, good choice for toasting one slice of bread”. We have to agree with Which? and say that this toaster is incredibly simple, and produces a decent slice of toast.

The toasters are available in a two slice long version (which means there is one long slot), or a two slice short toaster (two short slots), and they are available in White or Brushed Stainless Steel. The kettles, which have won an ‘Plus X award for Design’ are available in four different finishes; White, Black, Polished Stainless Steel and Brushed Stainless Steel. They are incredibly striking as the spout of the kettle comes out of the main body at what looks like a 90˚ angle.

If you like the sound of Graef, visit Go-Electrical and see if you fancy one of their toasters or kettles…or keep your eyes peeled for further new additions.
