Fun and Easy Baking to Support Our Country’s Heroes

There’s no doubt about it, Britain has gone bonkers for baking, so why not put this great activity to good use and join in the fundraising fun by taking part in this year’s Help for Heroes Colossal Cake Sale?

Organising Your Cake Sale

Putting on a charity cake sale really couldn’t be easier – simply bake a few cakes and get friends and family to chip in with some tasty sweet treats to sell in your community centre, town hall, workplace or even your backyard. Small or large, your sale will be supporting a fantastic charity working to help injured, wounded and sick veterans, Service personnel and their families.

Promote your event on social media platforms like Facebook and Twitter and get your local shops and cafes to put up a poster or donate some cakes.

Bake sales are a great way to get the community together. Hold your event any time between 20th April – 5th May and register your sale online to receive a free fundraising pack. Last year’s Colossal Cake Sales raised over £160,000, so dig out your icing sugar and flour from the back of the cupboard and give something back this spring.

Getting the Right Tools for the Job

There are dozens of fancy baking gadgets on the market to make baking quicker and easier. Stylish stand mixers are a must for the avid baker and have a user friendly design and powerful motor to produce a thorough, light mixture every time.

Baking trays are also an essential tool for making cupcakes and muffins, whilst pretty pink cases will give you that finishing touch.

Making cakes is a brilliant activity which children and adults of all ages can enjoy, and you’ve got plenty of time to practice your culinary skills and put together some great recipes for a great cause.

Ensure you look the part and give your cake stall a touch of ‘Britishness’ with Help for Heroes Colossal Cake Sale merchandise.
