Every January we make resolutions that we promise to keep, and two weeks in to the new year the majority of people have already broken or are on the verge of giving up. Whether it be laziness or lack of belief it happens time and time again. Well, this year I am more determined than ever to keep my resolutions (at least past Valentine’s Day anyway), and Polti are going to help me with one of them.
Resolution: To clean the bathroom at least once a week
I don’t know about you, but I hate cleaning the bathroom – I hate it more than I hate cleaning the oven. It is a task that I try and put off as much as possible, or until the sink becomes so coated in toothpaste that it is no longer white but blue. So, I have decided that enough is enough. I have had enough of the rubber gloves and cream cleaning fluid, and using an old toothbrush on the grouting – I am going to invest in a Polti Steam Cleaner to hopefully banish my bathroom cleaning blues.
There are 19 different models of steam cleaner in the Polti range – one to suit every budget. All I need to do now is decide which model is best for me…lets take a closer look.
Under £50:
Polti Vaporettino Lux steam cleaner
A compact handheld steam cleaner with a 500ml pressurized boiler which turns 1000W of power into 3 bar of pressure. It has a cord length of 2.58 metres but is only 28.3cm tall so it is very easy to use. As standard it comes with; a brass brush, cloth, steam grout tool, steam lance, steam nozzle, a round brush, steam spatula and a window tool.
Under £100:
Polti Vaporetto Comfort steam cleaner
A small, manoeuvrable steam cleaner on wheels available in red or silver. The boiler volume is 1.6L and creates 3 bar of pressure, and up to 85g of steam per minute. It has onboard accessory storage and as standard comes with; small accessory kit, small accessory adaptor, large brush, small brush adaptor, cloths, extension tubes, filling bottle and funnel, a small brush and a window tool.
Under £200:
Polti Vaporetto Evolution steam cleaner
One of the new additions to the Polti family, the Evolution has a 1.7L capacity and creates 4 bar of pressure, with the capacity to output up to 110g of steam per minute. The cord is 4 metres long and the three wheels allow easy movement around the house. Standard accessories are; an accessory bag, cloths and socks, demo DVD, 120 degree tool, large floor brush, a small brush, a window kit and extension tubes.
Over £200:
Polti Vaporetto Eco Pro 3000 Lux steam cleaner
A larger machine with a 2.9L boiler, 2000W of power and 4 bar of pressure. It comes with a long 5m cord, low water indicator and an automatic cable winder. As standard the Eco Pro 3000 Lux comes with almost every accessory that will every be needed; 120 degree concentrator, accessory bag, cloths and socks, demo DVD, extension hoses, floor brush, pressure lance, small brush, squeegee kit and a triangular brush.

As I am not quite at the point where I want to steam clean my upholstery or carpets, and having very little storage space, I think I will opt for the handheld Vaporettino Lux cleaner as the grouting tool will definitely make the old toothbrush redundant, and it will hopefully speed up the cleaning time of the most dreaded room in the house.
