Electric Fires
In our opinion, there are many benefits of installing an electric fire. For example, electric fires:
- Require no maintenance or cleaning unlike conventional open fires;
- Are very simple and inexpensive to install - requiring no flue;
- Are the most cost-effective heating solution. They are 100% efficient at point of use as all the heat produced goes into the room. The majority of heaters are also fitted with energy saving controls.
Dimplex and Burley Electric Fires
Our range of Dimplex and Burley electric fires can be installed virtually anywhere in your home and come already fitted with a plug for ease of installation. Our selected range includes inset, semi-inset, freestanding, stove, wall mounted and basket fires which we believe will suit traditional, modern and classic tastes. A variety of flame effects are available including real coals, moulded hand painted log effects and even pebbles and marbles. Some of our contemporary fires even allow you to change the flame between 5 flame colours effects to suit your mood or the aesthetics of your room.
The majority of our fires have a choice of 1kW or 2kW heat settings and are fan assisted; some with thermostat control. For your information our product descriptions identify any available models with radiant or convection heating. A remote control is also available on selected models and all models can be operated without heat to provide a flame-effect only; giving a cheerful glow and focal point to your room at minimal cost.
To help you decide which type of electric heater would best suit your tastes we have summarised our heater categories as follows:
- Stoves - Freestanding traditional and contemporary electric stove fires.
- Inset Heaters - Electric inset fires are designed to fit standard 16" and 18" fireplaces or can be used with a suitable surround against a flat wall. Certain Dimplex models can also be used as freestanding heaters using spacers (see accessories below).
- Freestanding Heaters - Predominantly basket style heaters.
- Wall Mounted Heaters - Contemporary style wall mounted or inset wall mounted heaters.
