TV is going digital. The existing analogue TV signal will be switched off and replaced with a new, stronger digital TV signal. It will mean that almost everyone will be able to receive digital TV through an aerial. You may have already been through this changeover, but some areas are still awaiting the arrival of Digital TV.
Yorkshire TV region - Switchover starts from: 3 August 2011
Meridian TV region - Switchover starts from: 8 Feb 2012
London TV region - Switchover starts from: 4 April 2012
UTV region - Switchover starts in: 2012

In the mid 1800s in Michigan, America, a wife complained to her husband about sawdust and dirt getting embedded in their carpets, and that sweeping alone was not enough to get rid of the dirt. The husband went on to design, and construct a carpet-sweeper to make his wife’s life easier. This machine went on to be a massive success, and people were soon asking where they could get one for their own homes. The husband and wife were Melville and Anna Bissell, and the Bissell Carpet Sweeper was patented in 1876.

When our new and improved website launched at Christmas we received some very positive feedback but many customers wanted to be able to browse the site by brand.
