Our Spring Cleaning offers are online now.

Here at Go-Electrical we know how important it is to have a lovely, clean house but we also know that cleaning isn’t necessarily what you want to be doing when the sun is finally beginning to shine again (sshhhh don’t scare it). We have looked through all our cleaning products and selected some of our most effective cleaning and laundry appliances to help you get that Spring Clean satisfaction. Here’s a closer look at three of the products:

AEG-ATT7920BP-Aptica-Pet-Cylinder-Vacuum-Cleaner-BlueThe AEG Aptica Pet cylinder vacuum is specially designed for pet owners who have to tackle pet hair in their homes. That is battle that can be won with the help of the Aptica’s Pet Turbo nozzle, purpose built to lift hair from furniture, floors and clothing. This vacuum can also help stay on top of any annoying odours in the household as it comes with a special carbon HEPA filter system, which removes up to 99% of allergens.

Samsung VU10F40SBDD Motion Sync Bagless Upright Vacuum Cleaner

The Samsung Motion Sync Bagless Upright Vacuum Cleaner is designed to make vacuuming your home as hassle free as possible, with it’s ‘Motion Sync’ design, this is probably the most maneuverable vacuum you offer! The unit’s HEPA filtration also helps to remove dust and dirt, however that isn’t all it does. The specially designed filter system is there to capture and hold air-borne allergens and those pesky dust particles, helping to keep your household air hygienically clean.

Rowenta-DG8960-Silence-Steam-Generator-Iron

Lastly for this blogpost, the Rowenta silence steam generator iron makes ironing out creases that bit quicker and easier. Rowenta’s own microsteam 400 stainless steel soleplate means this is a high quality bit of kit, designed for maximum steam output. This allows the the iron to produce 120g of steam per minute, meaning you will be able to easily glide through any pile of ironing you’ve accumulated and wave goodbye to all those creases. Steam generator irons are much more powerful than a standard steam iron, by creating such larger amounts of steam, which pumps constantly and consistently through the iron’s soleplate, they allow you to get through the ironing all the more quickly.

So have a peruse of our offers, get the house spotless, then get outside and enjoy the Spring!

Bosch cylinder vacuums just got even better…

Thursday, May 30th, 2013

Here at Go-Electrical we love Bosch appliances, whether big or small. We love them because the products produced by Bosch are reliable, well designed and robust, so you won’t be surprised to learn that we love the new products which Bosch have just released. New model  food processors and new model vacuum cleaners are now available from Go-Electrical – want to know more? Read on.

Let’s start with the new food processors – the MCM62020GB (RRP £149.99) and the MCM68861GB (RRP £199.99). The MCM62020GB can cater for 5+ people and is ideal for all types of food preparation because of the brilliant accessories which the appliance has in the box; a kneading hook for dough, a blender attachment (1.5 litre) for preparing drinks or soups, a reversible shredding disc, a reversible slicing disc, a whisk, a multifunctional knife for consistent chopping results and a citrus press. The discs are stainless steel and the machine

features a safety locking system, integrated cable storage and stepless speed settings including pulse function. Team all this with a great 3.9 litre mixing bowl and a 1000W motor and you have everything you need to produce a feast.

The MCM68861GB food processor is even better, if that’s possible! It has all the attachments listed above plus; a chips cutting disc, a stuffer, a universal shredder, an accessory bag and a mini chopper which is perfect for small quantities such as herbs. The powerful 1250W motor means that this machine is brilliant for producing large quantities and batch cooking.  If these machines sound good to you, then why not visit our Bosch webpages to view the entire Bosch kitchen range?

Moving on to the new vacuum cleaners, of which there are six models, all cylinders. There are two bagged models (BSGL5ALLGB and BSGL5PETGB) which unfortunately at the time of writing this blog post we don’t have any information about. We do have info on the four bagless models though, so let’s take a look at them.

Firstly, there is the GS-40 BGS4200GB canister vacuum which is a compact model with a 2000W motor. It has a 1.9 litre removable dust container, a 9.2m operating radius and also features Bosch’s innovative ‘SensorBagless Technology’ which minimizes maintenance, means there are not the costs associated with replacement bags. The vacuum comes with an adjustable floor tool (280mm wide), an upholstery nozzle and a crevice tool.

Next is the GS-40 BGS4140GB vacuum. This machine has a 1400W motor but features ‘Compressor Technology’ which ensures high dust pick-up at a low energy consumption level, meaning this vacuum still performs even with less power. Like the BGS4200GB, this cylinder has a 1.9 litre removable dust container, a 9.2m operating radius and Bosch’s ‘SensorBagless Technology’. It also features washable HEPA filtration and Bosch’s ‘SilenceSound System’ which means the vacuum and its accessories have been optimized to operate as quietly as possible. Perfect if you have sleeping children in the house.

The GS-50 BGS5SILGB also features the ‘SilenceSound System’ and ‘Compressor Technology’, and it is perfect for allergy suffers as it features a filter with ‘Gore Cleanstream’ membrane and a washable HEPA filtration system. The dust container on the BGS5SILGB is a large 3 litre and the operating radius is 11m which is ideal for those with a large home, and the four soft roll wheels make for easy manoeuvring. Accessories are important as we know, and this vacuum comes with a ‘SilentClean Premium’ roller floor brush, and a 3-in-1 accessory which is a crevice tool, upholstery brush and furniture brush.

If you are a pet owner then you may be interested in the following vacuum model, the GS-50 BGS5PETGB. The BGS5PETGB is a bagless vacuum featuring Bosch’s ‘AirTurbo System’ and a ‘ProAnimal’ turbo brush. This turbo brush features two different kinds of bristles – one type to collect dust, one to tackle pet hair, and there is also a ‘ProAnimal’ upholstery nozzle which is larger than normal and features four fluff-removal pads which tackle the hair and fluff which sticks to sofas, curtains and other soft furnishings. Like the BGS5SILGB the BGS5PETGB has a 3 litre dust container, 11m operating radius and the 3-in-1 accessory tool. With a max power of 2200W this cylinder will make light work of any vacuuming job, and will help keep pet owners’ homes hair free.

If one of these vacuums sounds like it may be perfect for your needs then visit our Bosch vacuum pages to learn more. Prices start from £179.99 for the new models. Visit our Bosch pages to view all the other appliances that are available.

Monster Suction from Miele

Wednesday, August 15th, 2012

Miele has launched a new range of cylinder vacuum cleaners, and they are, as you would expect, brilliant!

“The new Miele S8 range – Monster suction has evolved, and dust will never be safe again. The new S8 series of cylinder vacuum cleaners from Miele are the next generation of machines harnessing performance, convenience and innovative features. With a cleaner designed for people suffering from allergies, another for pet owners, one for the energy conscious and several different types of flooring you will find the perfect cylinder cleaner within the Miele Monster Suction range.”

MieleUK

Just like the S6 range the S8 range has a ‘Cat & Dog’ model, a ‘Silence’ model and an ‘EcoLine’ model. The ‘Cat & Dog’ (S8320) as the name suggests is perfect for those of us who have pets in the home. It features a full (and mini) turbobrush which has rotating air driven rollers, and this means that the carpet fibres, or upholstery, are deep cleaned with every use. The turbobrush also tackles long pet hair better than a normal floor brush – maybe I need one of these to vacuum up my long hair?!

The ‘EcoLine’ (S8340) uses 40% less energy than a standard 2000W vacuum cleaner making it the perfect choice for those of us who are energy conscious. It features a 1200W motor, but Miele have ensured that no power has been lost – it still performs as well as the other 2200W cylinders in the range because of its AIRTEQ floorhead. As standard the ‘EcoLine’ comes with a full turbo brush and a parquet brush, which is perfect for delicate floors.

If you have small children or a partner who works nights, then vacuuming the home can be a bit of a hassle because it is so noisy. Well, Miele have used their clever heads and created silencing technology, and this features in the ‘Silence Solution’ (S8390) vacuum. The 1200W silence motor is enclosed and insulated inside the cylinder so the sound produced is the lowest volume possible. The ‘Silence Solution’ also features ‘DynDrive’ wheels – the swivel casters have inflated tyres and shock absorbers for smooth, quiet movement, and they don’t damage delicate floors either. Brilliant.

Others models in the S8 range are the ‘Power Plus’ (S8310), the ‘Solution HEPA’ (S8330) which is perfect for allergy sufferers, and the ‘UniQ’ (S8530) which has so much technology and extras crammed on it, we are still unsure how Miele have managed it!

To find out more about the range, why not visit the Miele UK website?

The full S8 range is available to buy from Go-Electrical NOW.

Polti launches new Lecoaspira models

Thursday, August 9th, 2012

So, by now you have heard of the benefits of steam cleaning, and you have heard of Polti, the Italian company who manufacture steam cleaners. You have either been convinced by all the hype or not. Well hopefully, if I tell you about the Polti Lecoaspira range and the new models, and you might just be convinced enough to try steam cleaning.

Polti say of the Vaporetto Lecoaspira;

“[It] is the most complete home cleaning appliance because it is a powerful vacuum cleaner with a water filter for eliminating dust, it is an effective steam cleaner for deep cleaning all washable surfaces, it can combine the two functions to remove dirt, clean and dry all at the same time, and it can also be transformed into an effective ironing system. The Vaporetto Lecoaspira deep cleans, sucks up solids and liquids, dries, filters and purifies the air, all in one go.”

That hopefully gives you some idea of what a Lecoaspira could do in your home. Some of the older Lecoaspira models have been improved and re-released under new names, and two of these are the Lecoaspira Friendly and the Lecoaspira Intelligent 2.0.

The Friendly is the simplest model in the Lecoaspira range but it is just as efficient. This would be a great machine for someone who is new to steam cleaning. It features a high-efficiency aluminium boiler (which saves 20% more energy than the old stainless steel boiler) and it produces 4 bar of steam pressure and up to 90g steam per minute. Perfect for allergy sufferers the Friendly has a washable HEPA filter and Eco-Active water filter, once you have got to grips with the basics, the machine can be used for ironing with the addition of a steam iron attachment, and if you want your home to be extra clean, there is also a Steam Disinfector attachment which sanitises surfaces and fabrics.

The Intelligent 2.0 is the top of the Lecoaspira range and it is a very clever piece of kit. It warms up quicker than the other models, and like the Friendly, its new boiler design saves energy. It features an LCD display so it is easy to see which of the 10 pre-set cleaning programmes has been selected, and the cleaner has an electronic management system. This means that the cleaner will automatically set the steam pressure and suction power to suit the task in hand. Included in the box is a wide variety of different tools and attachments including a soft bristled dusting brush and squeegee inserts. This machine is not for the faint hearted, but for someone who has used steam power before, and wants to get the best possible results by using the steam and vacuum functions together.

The other models of the Lecoaspira range fit in between the Friendly and the Intelligent, and there will be one to suit every household. If you don’t think you are quite ready for a Lecoaspira, why not take a look at the Vaporetto steam cleaner range? There is a machine to suit every household and budget, and there are plenty of accessories to add.

Polti Lecoaspira Friendly is £349.90, and the Vaporetto Steam Cleaners start at just £36.99

The Gtech vacuuming revolution begins…

Wednesday, August 1st, 2012

“Gtech is an independent, British based designer of innovative, high performance floorcare and garden care products” and that is why we are a little bit in love. Gtech is the newest addition to the Go-Electrical website, and our favourite product is amazing. Meet the Gtech AirRam cordless upright vacuum cleaner.

Thumbnail

The AirRam vacuum cleaner is cordless, bagless, energy efficient and performs incredibly well. What more would you want from a vacuum?

The vacuum runs on a professional grade Li-ion battery which when fully charged has enough power to vacuum two average sized homes. Gtech says that a normal 2600W vacuum costs up to £265 in electricity over 5 years, but the AirRam uses just £13 of power over the same time scale, and that is pretty impressive. Not only does the AirRam save you electricity and in turn money, as it is bagless there is no need to waste money on messy, fiddly vacuum bags. Clever fan technology means that the vacuum cleaner compresses the dirt and fluff into compact bales, meaning emptying the vacuum is a lot easier and cleaner. Sounds good so far doesn’t it? Well there is more…

Battery powered cleaners are not known for being too good performance-wise, especially when the charge starts to run out. Well the Gtech AirRam is different. The ‘Fuel system’ means that suction power doesn’t waver and because “the bin compartment is located next to the brush bars, less power is required to move the dirt from the floor”. This means that less energy is used with maximum results.

Thumbnail

The cleaner may look thin but it holds just the same about of dirt as a normal sized vacuum cleaner. The thin design also means that thevacuum cleaner is lighter and easier to manoeuver than the standard upright cleaners (it has 28° steering), and it can get right under furniture that most vacuum cleaners can’t reach.

The last point to make, and it’s a good one, is that you can talk to the Gtech AirRam. Now, I know that just sounds a bit silly but let me explain. The vacuum features a unique ‘DateBridge’ which means it can be connected to your computer or laptop by USB. Once connected you can see how much energy has been used (or saved I should say), and see how the ‘Fuel System’ is doing. If that wasn’t enough you can get support from Gtech staff, find cleaning and usage information and, this is the best bit, you can see how many calories you have burned whilst vacuuming your home! Goodbye gym, hello clean house!

For more information watch the video below, or view the Gtech webpages on the Go-Electrical website.

Brilliant Bosch – new products

Thursday, July 26th, 2012

Bosch is a name that everyone has heard of, and it is a brand that we love. Whether it is a large kitchen appliance such as a dishwasher or built-in oven, or a small appliance such as a kettle or food mixer/processor, Bosch is a name to be relied on, and thankfully they have launched some new products for us to fall in love with. Yipee!

Before I start filling you in on the product details and specs, I need to first let you know about ‘The Winning Line’. This is a new initiative launched by Bosch and the products that fit into ‘The Winning Line’ range all feature user-friendly features and are energy efficient;

“‘The Winning Line’ range has been designed to showcase some of our best technological ideas and innovations at an amazing price point.”

BoschUK

Three of the new products I want to tell you about are part of ‘The Winning Line’, and these are the Ultimate Bosch steam generator iron, the Pro Power bagless vacuum cleaner and the White Styline Food Mixer.

The Ultimate Bosch steam generator iron is a very cleaver iron and this is down to its unique automatic ironing setting. Ever get annoyed that your iron temperature needs altering for different garments? Well the automatic settings mean that you can iron a silk blouse straight after your denim jeans. The iron also features an auto shut-off so no need to worry about accidents or fires, and an ‘Eco’ button which saves up to 25% energy and up to a 40% water saving. Brilliant!

The Pro Power bagless vacuum features a large three litre use capacity, 2200watt motor and some smart technology;

“The SensorBagless technology combined with the RotationClean system ensures optimum performance for the lifetime of the machine, the RobustAir™ System combines large diameters and high tech materials throughout the machine for maximum airflow and high dust pick up and a Hepa rated Gore filtration system stops dust particles on the filter surface for ease of cleaning”                                                                                                       BoschUK

Being bagless, this vacuum is environmentally friendly. There is no need to buy and dispose of bags, and the filters are washable, reuseable and according to Bosch should last the lifetime of the vacuum cleaner.

Improving on the popular food mixer model MUM46A1GB, Bosch has launched the Styline food mixer (MUM52120GB) and it has won the ‘Which? Best Buy’ award for best food processor March 2012. It has a powerful 700W motor, four speed settings and a variety of accessories to make light work of baking tasks. The 3.9litre capacity bowl is perfect for cakes mixtures, bread dough and biscuit mix. It looks pretty good too.

More new products from Bosch include;

The Premier Power Steam Generator ironThe Pet Hair and Carpet bagless vacuum cleanerThe Tassimo T55 hot drinks machine and The Styline Sensor toasters and kettles in Cranberry Red or Gloss Black.

To view the full Bosch range and learn more about the new products, visit the Bosch pages at Go-Electrical. Brilliant products at brilliant prices.

Brilliantly reliable – Miele

Thursday, June 21st, 2012

As some of you may know Miele is a brand that you can depend on. Their vacuum cleaners are one of Go-Electrical’s biggest sellers, and their fridges sell well in our retail shop, J.W Garnett. Being German, the design and build quality of all Miele appliances is outstanding, and consumers seem to agree – Miele has come out top on the 2012 ‘Which? Reliability survey’.

Miele received a reliability score of over 90% in the washing machine, tumble dryer, cylinder and upright vacuum cleaner, freezer, fridge freezer and dishwasher categories. Over 10,000 Which? members completed the survey about appliances that they owned which were up to six years old.

Here at Go-Electrical we have always  known how brilliant Miele products are, which is why we stock them – we also try and be as competitive on price as possible too, meaning that our customers not only get genuine, quality Miele products but they don’t have to break the bank to own them.

Why not visit our Miele homepage and take a look at the products that are available, you never know, you might just turn into a believer too…

Commemorate 2012 with some brilliant products…

Monday, May 28th, 2012

Commemorative Jubilee and Olympics products are everywhere at the moment, and this includes electricals. Go-Electrical has a great selection available from radios to vacuum cleaners!

Sebo has launched the Felix Royale upright vacuum cleaner that features a Union Jack print body. The main plastic of the body is red, and we can actually imagine this being used inBuckinghamPalace(not by the Queen though of course).

Roberts Radio already produced a Revival style DAB radio, but they have now added the Union Jack Sports DAB II to their range. Pocket-sized, and perfect for listening to all the Olympic events that you can’t watch on TV, this radio is going to be a big seller.

Not to be outdone, PURE have also released some limited edition radios which feature the Union Jack design. Our favourite is the PURE Evoke Mio – a lovely compact portable DAB radio which can run off the mains or battery power perfect for long summer days in the garden.

Le Creuset has launched a range of ‘Britain Celebrates’ gift sets. Containing espresso cups, mugs and petite casserole dishes in red, white and blue, these sets would make ideal Wedding presents for any couple tying the knot in 2012.

For those people who have a larger budget, and really want to make a style statement, why not invest in a Smeg Retro refrigerator? The Union Jack models will definitely become the focal point in any kitchen, and will have friends and family green with envy.

If a Union Jack print isn’t your thing, there are plenty of products in red, white and blue to choose from. Visit the Go-Electrical Jubilee page to take a look.

Exclusive, Dynamic – New Polti products

Wednesday, March 28th, 2012

The popularity of steam cleaning is rapidly growing in the UK thanks to a number of different factors, and this means that new steam cleaners are constantly being launched on to the market. Here, at Go-Electrical, we prefer one steam cleaner brand over any other, and that is Polti. Regularly featured on home shopping channels, Polti Steam Cleaners are one of Go-Electrical’s biggest sellers.

Following on from the success of the Evolution and Edition models launched last year, and the newest additions, the Flash and Mop, which were launched in February, Polti are adding two more steam cleaners to their range. Unfortunately, they are also discontinuing some of the existing models, but I wouldn’t be too worried because the new models are so much better.

The Vaporetto Dynamic, and Vaporetto Forever Exclusive will fit nicely into the top of the Polti range. The most expensive of the steam cleaners before reaching the Lecoaspira Steam Vacuum models, these two new additions are perfect for people who have used a steam cleaner before and want to upgrade, or for someone who will use a steam cleaner on a very regular basis for extended periods of time.

The two models are robost in design, and have very similar specifications, but the thing that sets the Vaporetto Forever Exclusive apart from all the other Polti steam cleaners is that it features a continuous refill function (indicated by the ‘Forever’ part in its name), just like some of the Lecoaspira models. This means no more waiting for the water tank to depressurise before being able to refill, so you can just keep going with your cleaning tasks. This feature is a real time-saver, believe me!
