Go-Electrical Welcome Robert Welch

Friday, September 4th, 2015

We are very excited to announce that Go-Electrical now stock Robert Welch.

British designer Robert Welch’s ethos was to design and create beautiful, functional, and timeless products. The multi-award winning Robert Welsh Signature collection is a result of years of both research, design, and thorough testing. From kitchen knives to cookbook stands, Robert Welch really have thought of it all.

Perhaps the most well known the part of the collection is Robert Welch’s kitchen knives. The blades of the Robert Welch signature kitchen knives are crafted from a fully forged high quality German stainless steel. This helps to create a much harder, stronger blade. The handle is made from tactile DuPont; specially shaped for comfort and balance, so you can use the knife with safety, and minimise hand fatigue. Each and every Signature knife is gift boxed, making them ideal for gifting.

5 of Go-Electrical’s favourite appliances in food preparation

Monday, August 26th, 2013

We’ve had an exciting day testing out some of Go-Electrical’s bestselling small appliances. After lots of chopping, juicing, slicing, whisking, shredding and blending, later we have complied this list of our favourite appliances to help with food preparation.

The all new Dualit 88013 stand mixer in canvas white RRP £299.95 is said to be one of this Christmas’s most sought after gift. And after having made a quick batch of raspberry and dark chocolate macaroons in this food mixer we can see exactly why.

Dualit’s ‘planetary mixing’ made our meringue mixture lighter and more aerated. We found the unique to Dualit ‘instant pause function’ particularly helpful, simple to set and when the time set is up the mixer buzzes to alert you.

We were very impressed the accessories included in the box (stainless steel bowl, flat beater, spatula beater, whisk, dough hook and pouring shield). It was very stable on the countertop and didn’t move about or make alot of noise like some other mixers we tested did. Everybody that tested this Dualit stand mixer said they would have one in their own kitchen.

As you may know KitchenAid are a firm favourite here at Go-Electrical. We especially love this KitchenAid 5KFPM776BNK Artisan Food Processor in Brushed Nickel RRP £329, on sale now at just £239.

This food processor came with an abundance of accessories included as standard, ranging from a julienne disc to a citrus press. To make use of this good selection of tools, we decided to make red onion and gruyere fougasse bread. We found that this processor was incredibly easy to use.

Breathe easy with a DeLonghi Air Purifier

Thursday, July 25th, 2013

Summer can be a nightmare for those with allergies, especially hay fever sufferers, and for many even the antihistamines and other allergy drugs don’t work. If you are one of these poor unfortunate people then you may be interested in the new additions to the Go-Electrical website; DeLonghi Air Purifiers.

The DeLonghi Air Purifiers clean the air within the home and reduce the amount of allergens, dust, pollen and fungi that are always present. The purifiers will also filter out cigarette smoke, making it perfect for those who have just moved home or have children in the home.

There are three DeLonghi purifiers currently available through Go-Electrical; AC100, AC150 and AC230. All are portable, so that they can be moved around the building, and they come with a two year warranty and the British Allergy Foundation’s ‘Seal of Approval’.  All three of the DeLonghi Air Purifier models are quiet when running, and use low levels of energy when being used on the minimum fan setting.

The Delonghi AC100 Air Purifier and Ioniser is the starter model and is currently priced at £189.90. It is recommended for rooms up to 40m² in size. It features a three level filtration system, which consists of a Pre-Filter (which is washable), a Hepa Filter (which is effective against dust particles as small as 0.3 micrometer in size) and a Carbon Filter (which traps odours and harmful gases). The AC100 also has an Ioniser which neutralises the particles in the air, a ‘filter dirty’ indicator and timer function.

The AC150 Air Purifier and Ioniser is the same size as the AC100, but it features more functions. This purifier has a four level filtration system which, as well as the filters detailed above, also features a TiO2 filter. This clever filter works by trapping particles, and then UV light destroys the cells of these particles so that they cannot escape back into the air. The AC150 also features an Air Quality System, and this system constantly samples the air when the machine is switched on. The machine then reads the air quality, and the colour LED on the outside of the machine then indicates the quality of the air by changing colour, automatically adjusts the fan speed if needed. The DeLonghi AC150 is currently £239.90.

Finally, let’s look at the AC230 Air Purifier and Ioniser. This purifier is slightly larger in size than the other two machines, and is suitable for use in rooms of up 80m² in size. Like the AC150, the AC230 has the clever Air Quality System technology with colour changing LED lights, but it’s filtration is another step better. The five level filtration (with extra-large filters) features the Pre-Filter, Hepa Filter, Carbon Filter and TiO2 filter as already discussed, but it also has a Silver Ion filter. This filter has been designed to be effective against bacteria, so with the AC230 you know that the air you are breathing is definitely as clean as it can be. This model of purifier has not just been awarded the British Allergy Foundation’s ‘Seal of Approval’, it has also earned an ECARF certificate. If you would like an AC230 it is available for £269.90.

If you think that an Air Purifier may be advantageous to your home, then you can learn more, and purchase, by visiting the Go-Electrical website, now.

More smart technology from Samsung

Wednesday, July 17th, 2013

Samsung home cinema has come to Go-Electrical. Not only are the newest Samsung televisions available to purchase from the Go website, we now also have the Home Cinema range, meaning you can enjoy a truly inclusive viewing experience.

There are Soundbars and Theatre Systems available from Samsung; a Soundbar, as you would probably guess, is a speaker which offers premium sound in the home and a Theatre System includes multiple speakers and a media player (usually DVD or Blu-ray).

The Samsung HW-F751 Soundbar is brilliant if you want to get the cinematic experience at home. It matches wirelessly with a 46” Samsung TV so that there is no need for a separate remote control, and its sleek silver finish also means that it can sit side by side with the new Samsung televisions without looking like an “add-on”. This Soundbar also comes with a Valve Amplifier which filters out unnecessary noise, and that means you can enjoy only the purest of sound whilst watching your favourite film or documentary.  This Soundbar also features a sensor which detects the speakers’ position and it then alters the sound output accordingly so the sound is perfect.

The Samsung HT-E350 Home Theatre System features five speakers and a DVD player. Place the speakers around the room to experience a true surround sound experience. Power bass technology means that the system produces a deeper, smoother and richer sound, and all the low notes are delivered to the viewer. As well as this, the HT-E350 also has another clever feature; Smart Volume. Smart volume means that with just a few adjustments and settings, the viewer doesn’t need to fuss about the volume level when switching channel, or from TV to DVD – all channels become balanced.

The top of the range Home Theatre System is the Samsung HT-F9750W which consists of a 3D Blu-ray & DVD system and an incredible seven speakers, including a Dualit Unit Subwoofer. This amazing piece of kit is definitely for the die-hard film buffs who like to see, hear and feel a film, but despite the amount of pieces the HT-F9750W is very easy to set-up. This easy set-up is thanks to Samsung’s clever intuitive graphical user interface which means even the most tech-phobic user can be enjoying surround sound in super-fast time.

If a Soundbar or a Home Theatre System sounds like something you would like to have in your home, then visit our Home Cinema pages here, and if you haven’t yet discovered the brilliant new Samsung televisions then you can find out about them on our website, or by visiting our previous blog post on them.

Australian brand Vitality4Life is here

Thursday, July 11th, 2013

Another blog, and another new addition to the Go-Electrical website. We really are adding new brands and products left, right and centre aren’t we? Say “hello” to Vitality4Life.

Vitality4Life are pioneers of the health industry, and produce high quality health products such as juicers, blenders and dehydrators. The company started off in Australia over 25 years ago, where the demand for high quality health products was, and still is, high. As this demand began to spread the company expanded, and was launched in the UK in 2003.

Here at Go-Electrical we have seen an increase of interest, and of sales, in juicers over the past few years, and that is why we have selected Vitality4Life for our website. These juicers are efficient and robust, and offer the user an easy way to be healthy. Our favourite of the Vitality4Life range is the Oscar Neo DA-1000 Juicer, and here is why…

According to the Vitality4Life website the Oscar NEO DA-1000 juicer is “the latest and most advanced single-gear cold press juicer in the world”. The results achieved with this juicer are almost unbelievable – more juice is produced and there is less pulp left over than with other juicers. The pulp that is left is almost completely dry due to the gentle, slow squeezing action of the juicers workings.

A great feature of the Oscar NEO Da-1000 juicer is the Pulp Adjustable Nozzle. This nozzle means that the user can control the pressure under which the fruits or vegetables are juiced to ensure that the maximum amount of juice is obtained. This slow squeezing takes place thanks to the Oscar juicer 3 step ‘auger’ crushing system, and a screw-like part then gently, rotates and crushes and squeezes the fruit or vegetables which have been inserted. The slow squeezing action used retains far more of the fruit and vegetable vitamins, minerals and fibre than ordinary juicers would. The living nutrients and enzymes which are found in fruit and vegetable juice are super good for us, and the Oscar Neo juicer has been designed to keep as many of these healthy things alive so the juice extracted is as good for the drinker as possible.

Surprisingly, the Oscar Neo doesn’t just juice. Vitality4Life have practically made this juicer into a food processor with the help of some well-designed attachments. The Mincing, Food Processing and Pasta attachments mean that it is possible to make ice-cream, grind food, puree and also make pasta and noodles. Now that is one clever juicer!

Swiss brand Bamix has landed

Wednesday, July 3rd, 2013

Bamix® hand blenders have come to Go-Electrical, and we are very excited to have them. If you haven’t heard of them, where have you been? The Bamix® hand blender has been around since the 1950s!

Invented by a Mr Roger Perrinjaquet in 1950, the Bamix® hand blender was the world’s first stick blender. His chosen name of Bamix® comes from the French “battre et mixer” which means beat and mix. Since then the brand has successfully grown throughout the world, and is now sold worldwide including Japan, Singapore and Australia. The product has even been endorsed by many celebrity chefs, including Gordon Ramsey.

It is very unusual for a brand to have so much success with just one kind of product, but Bamix ® has managed it – the only thing that they manufacture is hand blenders. In 2002, Bamix® launched the SliceSy® attachment, which allows the hand blender to be used as a slicer and grater, meaning that the company did not need to start manufacturing a complete new product, or messing around with the existing blender – if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it!

Go-Electrical currently has the Bamix® DeLuxe (M160) hand blender available for purchase, and this hand blender is incredibly powerful and efficient. The 160W heavy-duty AC motor is surprisingly quiet because of the two-fold insulation used on the appliance, and the two speed settings means that the appliance can be used at either 10,000–11,500rpm, or 16,000–16,500rpm. The parts of the blender which come into contact with food are all made of top-quality rust-free materials and are made to be odourless, tasteless and food-safe.

The Bamix® DeLuxe comes with 3 interchangeable stainless steel blades; a multi-purpose blade, a whisk disk and a beater disk. Use the multi-purpose blade for pureeing, crushing ice and mixing heavy ingredients, whilst the beater disk is designed to make beating and aerating a doddle, even meringue is easy. The whisking disc, as you would expect, is to be used for stirring and mixing things like milkshakes, dressings, and you can even make mayonnaise with it (in super-fast time I may add).

On its own a Bamix® hand blender would make a difference in any kitchen, but some models do include extras to make food prep even easier. The Bamix® DeLuxe (M160) comes with a grinder attachment which has been designed to process dry ingredients easily. This attachment is made for grinding, grating and chopping nuts, herbs, cereals, chocolate, cheese, sugar, spices, bread and even coffee beans. You really wouldn’t need many kitchen gadgets with a Bamix® around.

To take a closer look at the Bamix® DeLuxe, or purchase, visit the Go-Electrical website now. Don’t forget to keep an eye on the Go website for more Bamix® stick blenders arriving.

Accessories for KitchenAid Stand Mixers

Thursday, June 27th, 2013

If you own, or lust after, a KitchenAid Artisan stand mixer, you are probably already aware of the broad range of accessories and attachments which can be purchased to turn the mixer into more than just a mixer, but if you are still in the dark about the brilliant KitchenAid mixers then you should keep reading to discover the possibilities.

The Go-Electrical website currently has a total of 27 genuine KitchenAid accessories/attachments which are suitable for the Artisan stand mixer. We thought it would be a good idea to talk you through a few of them, as many people haven’t a clue what some are for!

The KitchenAid Sausage Stuffer (SSA) is a compact attachment which enables the user to make sausages. Once the filling is ready (vegetarian or meat) then just the chosen skin on the end of the attachment, and feed the filling into the attachment, and there you have it. The Sausage Stuffer comes with two different sized feed tubes for thick and thin sausages, and it should be used with the KitchenAid Food Grinder (5FGA) which is also available from Go-Electrical. The Sausage Stuffer is available for £15.27, and the Food Grinder is currently £66.52.

KitchenAid mixers come with a beater and dough hook in the box, and replacements are available, but KitchenAid also manufacture a Flex-Edge Beater (5KFE5T) which can be purchased separately. This beater has a brilliant rubber edge which scrapes against the side of the bowl so there is no need to pause the mixing to use a spatula. This edge also helps make the mixing of the ingredients quicker. A must-have for bakers the Flex-Edge Beater is available for £29.00.

The newest addition to the attachment range is the Pasta Roller (KPSA). This attachment until recently was only available as part of the KitchenAid Pasta Attachment pack (KPRA) which contains the Pasta Roller and two pasta cutters. The KPSA allows the user to make pasta to any thickness and up to 140mm wide, and is great for making lasagne sheets, or sheets of pasta for ravioli. It is simple to use, just pass the pasta dough through the roller on a setting of 1 or 2 to work the dough and then use the higher numbered settings to flatten the dough to the desired thickness. Get the KitchenAid Pasta Roller (KPSA) now for £45.00.

If you want to turn your KitchenAid mixer into a food processor that there is an attachment pack which will enable you to do so. The Cone Slicer/Shredder  kit (MVSA) contains a medium shredding drum, a coarse shredding drum and a slicing drum which can be used to prep root vegetables, potatoes, onions, fruit, nuts, cheese and even chocolate. If chopping and slicing is a chore you hate, then the MVSA is definitely an accessory to consider – the current price for this attachment is £65.50.

The last attachment we’re looking at is the Grain Mill (5KGM) which is available from Go-Electrical for £150. This attachment allows the user to make flour using their choice of grain, which means that this attachment is perfect for people with allergies. Insert wheat, oats, rice, corn, barley, buckwheat, millet and other low moisture non-oily grains and adjust the mill accordingly, to make flour or coarsely cracked grains. Ideal for bread bakers, this attachment won’t be a necessity for every KitchenAid user, but it is a great investment.

To view the full range of available accessories and attachments for KitchenAid products, just visit the Go-Electrical KitchenAid pages. With such a wide range available, there is an accessory for everyone.
