Perhaps the most well known the part of the collection is Robert Welch’s kitchen knives. The blades of the Robert Welch signature kitchen knives are crafted from a fully forged high quality German stainless steel. This helps to create a much harder, stronger blade. The handle is made from tactile DuPont; specially shaped for comfort and balance, so you can use the knife with safety, and minimise hand fatigue. Each and every Signature knife is gift boxed, making them ideal for gifting.

KitchenAid Artisan Cook Processor

Friday, July 31st, 2015

Earlier this week we had the chance to get some hands-on experience with the new KitchenAid Artisan Cook Processor, with Lorraine from KitchenAid popping in to give a demonstration of this new products capabilities.

kitchenaid1

She also introduced us to the special recipe app that KitchenAid have released – available on both the Apple store and Google Play store – specifically for the Artisan Cook Processor. This app contains a wide range of 116 recipes, with more being added all the time. Edd Kimber (aka ‘The Boy Who Bakes’), winner of ‘The Great British Bake Off’ in 2010, has worked on quite a few of these recipes and they’re all specifically written for the Artisan Cook Processor. The app is really nicely designed, the recipes are filterable and easy to navigate. Lorraine used the steam vegetables with soy sauce recipe. This allowed her to demonstrate a few of the Cook Processor’s many functions. It also allowed us to manually set the time and temperature on the Cook Processor, while also making use of the programmed settings. All these settings are really simple to set – a quick click of a button and a spin of the dial (which was quite fun to use). The preset programmes are accessed through the six buttons on the front of the Cook Processor –  boil, fry, stew, steam, puree, dough.

The recipe from the app was clearly and simply written, even I could follow the instructions! The cook processor chopped and steamed and around 20 minutes later, boom, our steamed vegetables were done. And it was good. The veg was steamed just right and the sauce was delicious.

I was pleasantly surprised by how easy both the cook processor and the app were to use together (I can’t lie I was a bit intimidated by the cook processor to begin with – it looks pretty serious). And it comes with all the accessories you’ll need to get through the recipes – 4.5L stainless steel cooking pot with hinged lid, measuring cup, Multiblade, mini bowl and mini multiblade, upper and lower steamer baskets with lid, dough blade, egg whip & StirAssist. All this and all contructed to KitchenAid’s high quality

The die cast metal construction is built to last – and the Artisan Cook Processor comes in a choice of six classic KitchenAid colours – almond cream, medallion silver, empire red, onyx black, candy apple, and frosted pearl – so it’ll match the rest of the KitchenAid appliances range perfectly.

Keep an eye on KitchenAid for the rest of 2015, with their Artisan Sparkling Beverage Maker powered by SodaStream set to be released soon. And look out for our next blog post about the KitchenAid Magnetic Drive Blender.

Welcome back Kenwood

Wednesday, July 31st, 2013

We are very pleased to welcome back Kenwood to the Go-Electrical website.

Kenwood-Nostalgia-Classic-Chef-Stand-Mixers

Kenwood released the new ‘Nostalgia classic chef stand mixer’ earlier this year, already the response at Go-Electrical has been incredible.

Kenwood have built the classic chef mixer to last, with an efficient, powerful motor, robust, stable and constructed from die-cast aluminium and plastic. This food mixer can blend, knead dough, mix and whisk. As with the KitchenAid mixers the attachment hub turns this kitchen appliance into so much more than a food mixer.

Choice of colour is not as vast as the KitchenAid Artisan mixer range. But we do love the nostalgic feel of the glossy white body highlighted with metallic colour – calypso orange, astro blue or pinto green.

The Kenwood FPM800 Multipro Sense food processor has proven to be extremely popular over the last months at Go-Electrical. This could be due to the plethora of accessories provided as standard, ranging from a fine julienne disc to create fresh stir fry to the folding tool for delicately folding egg whites to create a light and airy mousse.

Included is a 3.5 litre bowl, rivalling the size of Magimix’s iconic 5200 food processor. The generous capacity of this Kenwood food processor makes it an ideal model for those who love to entertain regularly or batch cook – catering for 5+ people.

Retailing currently on Go-Electrical at just £219.90, a snippet of the price of its counterparts.

Australian brand Vitality4Life is here

Thursday, July 11th, 2013

Another blog, and another new addition to the Go-Electrical website. We really are adding new brands and products left, right and centre aren’t we? Say “hello” to Vitality4Life.

Vitality4Life are pioneers of the health industry, and produce high quality health products such as juicers, blenders and dehydrators. The company started off in Australia over 25 years ago, where the demand for high quality health products was, and still is, high. As this demand began to spread the company expanded, and was launched in the UK in 2003.

Here at Go-Electrical we have seen an increase of interest, and of sales, in juicers over the past few years, and that is why we have selected Vitality4Life for our website. These juicers are efficient and robust, and offer the user an easy way to be healthy. Our favourite of the Vitality4Life range is the Oscar Neo DA-1000 Juicer, and here is why…

According to the Vitality4Life website the Oscar NEO DA-1000 juicer is “the latest and most advanced single-gear cold press juicer in the world”. The results achieved with this juicer are almost unbelievable – more juice is produced and there is less pulp left over than with other juicers. The pulp that is left is almost completely dry due to the gentle, slow squeezing action of the juicers workings.

A great feature of the Oscar NEO Da-1000 juicer is the Pulp Adjustable Nozzle. This nozzle means that the user can control the pressure under which the fruits or vegetables are juiced to ensure that the maximum amount of juice is obtained. This slow squeezing takes place thanks to the Oscar juicer 3 step ‘auger’ crushing system, and a screw-like part then gently, rotates and crushes and squeezes the fruit or vegetables which have been inserted. The slow squeezing action used retains far more of the fruit and vegetable vitamins, minerals and fibre than ordinary juicers would. The living nutrients and enzymes which are found in fruit and vegetable juice are super good for us, and the Oscar Neo juicer has been designed to keep as many of these healthy things alive so the juice extracted is as good for the drinker as possible.

Surprisingly, the Oscar Neo doesn’t just juice. Vitality4Life have practically made this juicer into a food processor with the help of some well-designed attachments. The Mincing, Food Processing and Pasta attachments mean that it is possible to make ice-cream, grind food, puree and also make pasta and noodles. Now that is one clever juicer!

Swiss brand Bamix has landed

Wednesday, July 3rd, 2013

Bamix® hand blenders have come to Go-Electrical, and we are very excited to have them. If you haven’t heard of them, where have you been? The Bamix® hand blender has been around since the 1950s!

Invented by a Mr Roger Perrinjaquet in 1950, the Bamix® hand blender was the world’s first stick blender. His chosen name of Bamix® comes from the French “battre et mixer” which means beat and mix. Since then the brand has successfully grown throughout the world, and is now sold worldwide including Japan, Singapore and Australia. The product has even been endorsed by many celebrity chefs, including Gordon Ramsey.

It is very unusual for a brand to have so much success with just one kind of product, but Bamix ® has managed it – the only thing that they manufacture is hand blenders. In 2002, Bamix® launched the SliceSy® attachment, which allows the hand blender to be used as a slicer and grater, meaning that the company did not need to start manufacturing a complete new product, or messing around with the existing blender – if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it!

Go-Electrical currently has the Bamix® DeLuxe (M160) hand blender available for purchase, and this hand blender is incredibly powerful and efficient. The 160W heavy-duty AC motor is surprisingly quiet because of the two-fold insulation used on the appliance, and the two speed settings means that the appliance can be used at either 10,000–11,500rpm, or 16,000–16,500rpm. The parts of the blender which come into contact with food are all made of top-quality rust-free materials and are made to be odourless, tasteless and food-safe.

The Bamix® DeLuxe comes with 3 interchangeable stainless steel blades; a multi-purpose blade, a whisk disk and a beater disk. Use the multi-purpose blade for pureeing, crushing ice and mixing heavy ingredients, whilst the beater disk is designed to make beating and aerating a doddle, even meringue is easy. The whisking disc, as you would expect, is to be used for stirring and mixing things like milkshakes, dressings, and you can even make mayonnaise with it (in super-fast time I may add).

On its own a Bamix® hand blender would make a difference in any kitchen, but some models do include extras to make food prep even easier. The Bamix® DeLuxe (M160) comes with a grinder attachment which has been designed to process dry ingredients easily. This attachment is made for grinding, grating and chopping nuts, herbs, cereals, chocolate, cheese, sugar, spices, bread and even coffee beans. You really wouldn’t need many kitchen gadgets with a Bamix® around.

To take a closer look at the Bamix® DeLuxe, or purchase, visit the Go-Electrical website now. Don’t forget to keep an eye on the Go website for more Bamix® stick blenders arriving.

Accessories for KitchenAid Stand Mixers

Thursday, June 27th, 2013

If you own, or lust after, a KitchenAid Artisan stand mixer, you are probably already aware of the broad range of accessories and attachments which can be purchased to turn the mixer into more than just a mixer, but if you are still in the dark about the brilliant KitchenAid mixers then you should keep reading to discover the possibilities.

The Go-Electrical website currently has a total of 27 genuine KitchenAid accessories/attachments which are suitable for the Artisan stand mixer. We thought it would be a good idea to talk you through a few of them, as many people haven’t a clue what some are for!

The KitchenAid Sausage Stuffer (SSA) is a compact attachment which enables the user to make sausages. Once the filling is ready (vegetarian or meat) then just the chosen skin on the end of the attachment, and feed the filling into the attachment, and there you have it. The Sausage Stuffer comes with two different sized feed tubes for thick and thin sausages, and it should be used with the KitchenAid Food Grinder (5FGA) which is also available from Go-Electrical. The Sausage Stuffer is available for £15.27, and the Food Grinder is currently £66.52.

KitchenAid mixers come with a beater and dough hook in the box, and replacements are available, but KitchenAid also manufacture a Flex-Edge Beater (5KFE5T) which can be purchased separately. This beater has a brilliant rubber edge which scrapes against the side of the bowl so there is no need to pause the mixing to use a spatula. This edge also helps make the mixing of the ingredients quicker. A must-have for bakers the Flex-Edge Beater is available for £29.00.

The newest addition to the attachment range is the Pasta Roller (KPSA). This attachment until recently was only available as part of the KitchenAid Pasta Attachment pack (KPRA) which contains the Pasta Roller and two pasta cutters. The KPSA allows the user to make pasta to any thickness and up to 140mm wide, and is great for making lasagne sheets, or sheets of pasta for ravioli. It is simple to use, just pass the pasta dough through the roller on a setting of 1 or 2 to work the dough and then use the higher numbered settings to flatten the dough to the desired thickness. Get the KitchenAid Pasta Roller (KPSA) now for £45.00.

If you want to turn your KitchenAid mixer into a food processor that there is an attachment pack which will enable you to do so. The Cone Slicer/Shredder  kit (MVSA) contains a medium shredding drum, a coarse shredding drum and a slicing drum which can be used to prep root vegetables, potatoes, onions, fruit, nuts, cheese and even chocolate. If chopping and slicing is a chore you hate, then the MVSA is definitely an accessory to consider – the current price for this attachment is £65.50.

The last attachment we’re looking at is the Grain Mill (5KGM) which is available from Go-Electrical for £150. This attachment allows the user to make flour using their choice of grain, which means that this attachment is perfect for people with allergies. Insert wheat, oats, rice, corn, barley, buckwheat, millet and other low moisture non-oily grains and adjust the mill accordingly, to make flour or coarsely cracked grains. Ideal for bread bakers, this attachment won’t be a necessity for every KitchenAid user, but it is a great investment.

To view the full range of available accessories and attachments for KitchenAid products, just visit the Go-Electrical KitchenAid pages. With such a wide range available, there is an accessory for everyone.
