Lastly for this blogpost, the Rowenta silence steam generator iron makes ironing out creases that bit quicker and easier. Rowenta’s own microsteam 400 stainless steel soleplate means this is a high quality bit of kit, designed for maximum steam output. This allows the the iron to produce 120g of steam per minute, meaning you will be able to easily glide through any pile of ironing you’ve accumulated and wave goodbye to all those creases. Steam generator irons are much more powerful than a standard steam iron, by creating such larger amounts of steam, which pumps constantly and consistently through the iron’s soleplate, they allow you to get through the ironing all the more quickly.

So have a peruse of our offers, get the house spotless, then get outside and enjoy the Spring!

Australian brand Vitality4Life is here

Thursday, July 11th, 2013

Another blog, and another new addition to the Go-Electrical website. We really are adding new brands and products left, right and centre aren’t we? Say “hello” to Vitality4Life.

Vitality4Life are pioneers of the health industry, and produce high quality health products such as juicers, blenders and dehydrators. The company started off in Australia over 25 years ago, where the demand for high quality health products was, and still is, high. As this demand began to spread the company expanded, and was launched in the UK in 2003.

Here at Go-Electrical we have seen an increase of interest, and of sales, in juicers over the past few years, and that is why we have selected Vitality4Life for our website. These juicers are efficient and robust, and offer the user an easy way to be healthy. Our favourite of the Vitality4Life range is the Oscar Neo DA-1000 Juicer, and here is why…

According to the Vitality4Life website the Oscar NEO DA-1000 juicer is “the latest and most advanced single-gear cold press juicer in the world”. The results achieved with this juicer are almost unbelievable – more juice is produced and there is less pulp left over than with other juicers. The pulp that is left is almost completely dry due to the gentle, slow squeezing action of the juicers workings.

A great feature of the Oscar NEO Da-1000 juicer is the Pulp Adjustable Nozzle. This nozzle means that the user can control the pressure under which the fruits or vegetables are juiced to ensure that the maximum amount of juice is obtained. This slow squeezing takes place thanks to the Oscar juicer 3 step ‘auger’ crushing system, and a screw-like part then gently, rotates and crushes and squeezes the fruit or vegetables which have been inserted. The slow squeezing action used retains far more of the fruit and vegetable vitamins, minerals and fibre than ordinary juicers would. The living nutrients and enzymes which are found in fruit and vegetable juice are super good for us, and the Oscar Neo juicer has been designed to keep as many of these healthy things alive so the juice extracted is as good for the drinker as possible.

Surprisingly, the Oscar Neo doesn’t just juice. Vitality4Life have practically made this juicer into a food processor with the help of some well-designed attachments. The Mincing, Food Processing and Pasta attachments mean that it is possible to make ice-cream, grind food, puree and also make pasta and noodles. Now that is one clever juicer!

A new radio from PURE? It’s the Evoke F4…

Monday, June 3rd, 2013

There is a new radio on the market which we have all put on our ‘wish list’. It is from PURE and is rather clever – say “hello” to the PURE Evoke F4 radio.

The Evoke F4 Digital and Internet radio with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth (to give it its full title) is based on PURE’s multi award-winning Evoke Flow radio which proved very popular. The F4 has been further improved and developed, and has been designed to work with the PURE Jongo range of wireless multi-room products, which offers the ability to synchronised music throughout the home.

Like with other digital (DAB) radios, the user of the F4 can listen to a massive selection of digital and FM radio stations, but as the F4 also features Wi-Fi capabilities the user can access radio stations, music channels, on demand services and podcasts from around the world. There is also the option to stream tracks from PURE Music, which is an online subscription service created for PURE users, by PURE and it offers over 15 million music tracks so there should always be something to listen to, no matter what mood the user is in.

So far the Evoke F4 sounds a lot like the Evoke Flow, but this is where that all changes. The F4 features innovative tagging technology, which means that just by pressing a button the user can find out the name of the track currently playing, and the artist. Once tagged, the track can be purchased there and then, or it can be saved and bought at a later time through the PURE Connect website. It can also be added to any PURE Music playlists that the user may have created. Don’t forget that the PURE Connect App (for iPad, iPhone and Android) can be used to stream audio wirelessly using the Wi-Fi and Bluetooth capabilities.

If there is a particular radio programme that you can’t miss then there is the ability to record live internet and digital radio. Instant and timed recordings can be done using a USB stick to store the recordings. Ordinarily a 2GB memory stick should hold approximately 15 hours of digital radio. This recording ability not only means that the user won’t miss their favourite programme ever again, but it also allows them to share the recording with friends and family.

Key features:

DAB/DAB+/DMB radio), FM and internet radio (via Wi-Fi or Ethernet)

Wi-Fi supported with WEP and WPA/WPA2 encryption

Streaming capabilities – use Wi-Fi or Bluetooth

A Multi-room product –   Use the Jongo family of speakers to enjoy music wirelessly throughout the home

Two alarms

Sleep and kitchen timers

Aux-in socket for iPod or MP3 player

Headphone socket

Large high-contrast OLED display

Optional rechargeable battery – PURE ChargePAK F1

USB socket

Two year PURE warranty

As you would expect with a PURE radio, the sound quality on the Evoke F4 has not been compromised by all the technology. The radio “delivers the best possible sound quality, using highly energy efficient Class-D audio amplification and in-house digital signal processing loudspeaker correction, equalisation and sound profiling.”                                                                                                                 PURE May 2013

To learn more about the PURE Evoke F4 visit the Go-Electrical product page now. The F4 is available now to purchase and retails at £169.99.

New KitchenAid products now available

Wednesday, April 24th, 2013

The day the news came through that there were some new KitchenAid products in the pipeline, we got very excited here in the Go-Electrical office. Then when we got the information through about the new products and saw the photographs, we got even more excited. So you can imagine what kind of state we were in when we were told the expected delivery date of some of these new products – excited doesn’t come close.

We’ve calmed down enough now to tell you all about these great new products, so let’s start with the products that are available to purchase now. Say hello to the KitchenAid Artisan 1.5 litre kettle and the KitchenAid Artisan two-slot toaster.

Designed in the same style as the KitchenAid Artisan stand mixer, the new toasters and kettles have a unique look. Both will be available in six different colours (Empire Red, Onyx Black, Almond Cream, Medallion Silver, Candy Apple and Frosted Pearl) and they are the perfect addition to any stylish home.  The kettles are built with a dual wall construction which means that the water inside stays hotter for longer, that the noise whilst in use is quieter than normal and that the outside of the kettle is cooler to the touch making it safer if children are around.

The best thing about the kettle though is that it can heat water to different temperatures. Select a temperature between 50°C and 100°C (perfect for people who enjoy different blends and types of teas) and then watch the gauge on the outside of the kettle go up. This gauge will work even when the kettle is off its base, so you know whether you need to re-boil it, or not, if you have forgotten someone’s cup of tea.

The two-slot toaster looks brilliant sat next to the kettle, and it doesn’t just look good. This toaster has an automatic inner cage which lowers and lifts the bread/toast, and it has a keep-warm function – we all know how annoying it is when your toast pops and you don’t get to it quick enough for the butter to melt.  The toaster also has seven shade settings so your toast is the perfect shade of golden brown (or dark brown if that’s what you like), and there are LED lights which countdown to when the toast is ready.

If you enjoy eating bagels for breakfast then this toaster is for you, as there is a bagel/bun function which toasts only on one side, but heats the other. There is a function to thaw and toast frozen breads, and there is also a sandwich setting which is used with the included sandwich cage to make great, tasty toasties.

Really, if you need a new matching toaster and kettle then you should seriously consider the KitchenAid Artisan products. Maybe you don’t need these two appliances though – Well don’t worry because as I mentioned to start, there are more new products on the way. New blender, food processor or chopper anyone?

The new KitchenAid Artisan food processors will be available in three sizes – 2.1 litre, 3.1 litre and 4 litre. The 2.1 litre food processor (5KFP0925) will be available in four colours and has been designed with small kitchens in mind. It may be compact, but KitchenAid haven’t compromised on the features. There is the ’ExactSlice’ system which consists of a manually adjustable slicing disc, 3-in-1 wide feed tube, uniquely-designed sharp blades, two speeds and a pulse. Team this with a main 2.1 litre bowl and a 710ml mini-bowl, and you have a brilliantly small, but efficient, food processor.

The 3.1 litre food processor (5KFP1335) will also be available in four colour options, and has the same features as the 2.1 litre, except that the adjustable slicing disc has an external lever so it can be easily adjusted. The standard bowls are 3.1 litre and 950ml capacity.

The 4 litre food processor (5KFP1644) will be available in six colour options and really is a food processor for every task – slicing, cubing, chopping, mixing, whipping and more. It has been awarded the ‘Initiative LifeCare’ award for ‘Kitchen Innovation Product of the Year 2013’. Like the other two models, this food processor features the ‘ExactSlice’ system, but also features the following;

*Die-cast metal body – making it extremely robust and stable

*Induction motor – reliable, powerful and quiet

*Three bowls – 4 litre, 2.4 litre and 1 litre

*Storage case

*Dicing kit – produces perfect cubes of fruit or vegetables.

If a food processor isn’t quite what you are after, then how about the new KitchenAid Chopper (5KFC3515). Available in three colours, this compact appliance is perfect for preparing sauces and dips. Team the 830ml bowl, with one touch operation, two speeds and a ‘liquid adder lid’, and you get a great little appliance perfect for any kitchen.

KitchenAid have long manufactured jug blenders, but here the UK we have always missed out on the hand blenders that the USA has been lucky enough to have. Well now that’s all changed – there is now a cordless handblender which is available with or without accessories (5KHB3583 or 5KHB3581), and a corded 5-speed hand blender (5KHB2571). This corded blender will be available in four colours and comes with three interchangeable bell blades, a 1 litre jug, a chopping bowl, stainless steel arms (20cm and 33cm), whisk attachment and a storage case.

So, if any of the above sounds interesting, or you are just really nosey and want to see more, then keep an eye on our KitchenAid pages for the arrival of these new products. The two-slice toaster and kettle are already available so get yours now!

Krups are known for manufacturing coffee machines for Nespresso and Dolce Gusto, but they also make some impressive Bean-to-Cup machines, and these are the new arrivals which are now available on Go-Electrical.

The most impressive of the Krups bean-to-cup range is the Barista EA9000, and this machine means business. It is controlled by a touch-screen and features clever technology which will save your coffee preference (under your own name), so when you want a coffee all that’s required is a press of your name on the screen, and this clever technology doesn’t stop there – the EA9000 features a patented system for preparing milk based drinks.
